Under the supervision of the Manager of Community Initiatives and Mental Health, the Program Coordinator works in collaboration with the Manager of the Pisiksik Justice Department of Tungasuvvingat Inuit to support inter-agency collaboration, collect data, and report between the two agencies in providing services to Inuit community members involved in the justice system. The Project Coordinator is responsible for overseeing, implementing, and supporting the day-to-day activities of the Legal System Navigators. This role is also responsible for creating and disseminating educational content and building partnerships that can benefit Inuit by removing barriers to understanding of Canadian Legal systems (including criminal, human rights, and family law) and enhancing cultural competency for those interacting with Inuit.

Under the supervision of the Manager of Education, the Student Support Services
Worker’s (SSSW) direct supervisor will be the Silatuniq Coordinator. The SSSW will
develop trusting relationships with students, parents, and community partners.
Provide social-emotional wellbeing and case management support. The SSSW will
provide support to community members in schools, in community, and in providing
cultural information to community partners. The SSSW will develop a student success
plan for elementary and secondary students.

The Youth Worker will assist evening program staff with planning and delivering activities, daily cleaning and other duties as assigned. and Youth worker facilitates the transfer of Inuit knowledge, language and culture to
children and youth in care or adopted into non-Inuit families, so they become
knowledgeable and proud of their Inuit identity and develop a sense of belonging.
The Kamatsiarniq Child & Youth worker will help Inuit children youth in care relate
their ability to achieve their goals and help them achieve their potential.

The Adult Social Navigator will collaborate with partner support and medical professionals to help ensure access to cultural, social and other needed activities and supports that contribute to their well-being.
