Youth Life Promotion
The Youth Life Promotion Program is for youth 13-24 years of age to work on their employment, education, life skills or volunteer hours. The program runs Tuesday to Friday 4 pm – 6 pm; program includes: homework help, one-on-ones, goal-setting, employment readiness, life skills and guest speakers.
Guest speakers pertain to the youth’s interest in the fields of post-secondary study and careers, for example, speakers from the fields of corrections and policing, security, culinary arts, northern relations, medicine and local colleges and universities.
This program helps to prepare Youth (ages 13 to 24) for the following:
- Employment Readiness
- School Funding through scholarship/OSAP/bursary applications
- School Support
- Financial Literacy
- Post-Secondary School application and campus tours
- Field trips and guest speakers
- Volunteering and community involvement
