“This paper was written after the Governing Committee and elder advisors of Inuit Tuttarvingat – National Aboriginal Health Organization (NAHO) identified children’s health as a priority area within the Inuit Tuttarvingat strategic plan. Within this area, specific concerns for children’s well-being and family preservation were raised, as well as concerns for the overall experience
of Inuit families with child welfare and family support services. This report is meant to be a step in an ongoing Inuit Tuttarvingat project to address the social program needs and current social service gaps for Inuit children.”
