Louie Kamookak
Celebrated Inuit historian Louie Kamookak, an Royal Canadian Geographical Society (RCGS) Fellow and medallist, is a leader in the collection and preservation of Inuit testimony related to Franklin.
On April 11, the Inuuqatigiit was pleased to host Louie for a visit with our children and youth. Louie is a the teacher and historian from Gjoa Haven who helped locate Franklin’s lost ship the Erebus.
During his visit, the CBC requested an interview for their “All in a Day” show.
