Director of Operations  

Under the supervision of the Inuuqatigiit Executive Director, the Director of Operations is responsible for overseeing and optimizing Inuuqatigiit Centres day-to-day operations, including improving efficiency, implementing policies, and leading teams to achieve operational goals while ensuring that project deliverables and/or program goals are met while supporting the vision and mandate of Inuuqatigiit Centre.

Nunavut Youth Cultural Worker 
Under the supervision of the Manager of Family Well-Being, the Nunavut Youth Cultural Worker supports the well-being of Nunavummiut Youth living in Ottawa, in collaboration with government of Nunavut employees and contracted caregivers. The Nunavut Youth Cultural Worker will develop meaningful relationships with Inuit children and youth in group care or medical foster care to help maintain their understanding of Inuit knowledge and IQ Principles, hear and/or speak Inuktitut, and engage in cultural activities so that they remain connected to their identity as proud Inuit. The Nunavut Youth Cultural Worker will help Inuit children and youth in care identify goals and help them achieve their potential.

Adult Social Navigator 

Under the supervision of the Manager of Family Well-Being, the Adult Social Navigator provides support, referrals, advocacy and programming for vulnerable Inuit adults who reside in Nunavut but are receiving medical services in Ottawa. The Adult Social Navigator will collaborate with partner support and medical professionals to help ensure access to cultural, social and other needed activities and supports that contribute to their well-being.

Child Welfare Liaison Worker

Under the supervision of the Family Well-Being Manager, the Child Welfare Liaison Worker assists families who are involved with child welfare organizations, and/or the Children’s Aid Society (CAS) to provide guidance and information to parents regarding the process, their rights and responsibilities. This is a position functions outside of the provincial, child-welfare services and is directly located within Inuuqatigiit as an advocate and support service for the well-being of Inuit children and their families.

Men’s Services Worker 
Under the supervision of the Manager of Family Well-Being (FWB), the Men’s Services Worker support the delivery of community-based programming, engages and supports fathers using a holistic and family-centred approach and ensures safe spaces for clients in compliance with the current practices, relevant legislation and Inuuqatigiit policies and procedures.

Family Support Worker
Under the supervision of the Manager of Family Well-Being, the Family Support Worker plans and delivers community based programming, engages and supports parents and families using a holistic and family-centered approach and ensures safe spaces for clients in compliance with the current wise practices, relevant legislation and OICC policies and procedures.

Youth Justice Liaison Worker
Under the supervision of the Manager of Community Initiatives and Mental Health, and the Inuit Youth Justice Coordinator, the Youth Justice Liaison Worker is responsible for supporting Inuit youth (ages 12-17) who may have mental health concerns and who have become involved in the justice system. The worker helps these young people to navigate the legal system, provides support and refers them to mental health, legal and other resources as needed and encourages them to take responsibility and make positive changes in their own lives.

Evening Childcare Worker
Under the supervision of the Evening Childcare Lead and reporting to the Manager, Family Well-Being, the Evening Childcare Worker supervises children/youth and delivers childcare programming for Inuuqatigiit Centre’s evening drop-in programs.

Education Assistant, Education Hubs Program (3 positions)
Under the direct supervision of the Manager of Youth Programs, the Education Assistant will act as support staff in classrooms by assisting the Educator and other classroom staff in carrying out education plans. This may include working with students on their academic studies, assisting children with disabilities or special needs.

Inuuqatigiit Centre for Inuit Children, Youth and Families is a multi service non-profit organization serving Inuit children, youth, and their families. BTG Presenter/Cultural Student Support Worker

Under the direct supervision of the BTG Coordinator and Manager of Education ,BTG Presenter/Culture Student Support Worker will plan and deliver culturally based activities for the Education Department. They will develop and provide cultural information through presentations to students and school staff, thereby promoting school success for Elementary and Secondary school students and staff. The BTG Presenter/ Culture Student Support Worker will assist clients who access supportive services within the Education Department team with their cultural journey.
